Ashley Arlene Nelson

I have recently relocated to New York City, where I hope to conquer these city lights. A UCI graduate with my BA in Drama, I have been performing all over Southern California since my theatrical debut as “Corn” in my Kindergarten's Thanksgiving play. Some of my favorite grown-up credits include the Ovation winning Lysistrata Jones (Robin), the Ovation nominated A Chorus Line (Bebe), the West Coast Premiere of Claudio Quest (Boof), Little Women (Jo March), Dogfight (Rose), and Bonnie & Clyde (Bonnie). New York credits include Casper the Not-So-Friendly-Ghost (Bristol) and the Off-Broadway production of He’s Got the Pole World in His Hands: The Christian Pole Dancing Musical (Chloris).

 

In addition to full productions, I have performed all over Orange County, Los Angeles, and San Diego with an a capella Christmas caroling group, and choreographed elementary and high school shows. 

 

My portrayal of Rose in Dogfight and Robin in Lysistrata Jones landed me two Robby Award nominations for Best and Best Featured Actress.
